A man from Leeds is set to stand trial for a terror offence next month.

Martyn Paul Gilleard appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with possessing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The 48-year-old, of Town Street in Armley, was told his trial would start at the Old Bailey on 20 June.

He was remanded into custody until that date, HM Courts and Tribunals Service confirmed.
