Two men hurt as shots fired in city street

Two men were injured when shots were fired in a Birmingham street, police say.

The incident happened in Bickford Road in Aston at about 06:00 GMT and detectives said a lot of people were in the area at the time.

The two men were taken to hospital with gunshot injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, the force added. Officers will remain in the area throughout Sunday carrying out further inquiries.

A special online portal has been set up by West Midlands Police for people to share information or videos.
