Teen charged over serious assault of girl in woods

A teenage boy has been charged with multiple offences after a 17-year-old girl was left seriously injured in a wooded area of Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police cordoned off a path near Abb Scott Lane in the Low Moor area on Tuesday, with the girl taken to hospital.
The boy, also 17, has been charged with assault to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted rape and sexual assault.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
On Wednesday, police described the girl's injuries as "serious but not life threatening".
