Search continues for girl missing in River Thames
UKNIPThe search continues for a girl thought to be missing in the River Thames in Kent.
Police were called at 13:45 BST on Friday after concerns were raised for two children who had entered the river at Royal Pier Road in Gravesend.
Emergency services attended the scene, where a boy was retrieved from the water and taken to a local hospital. His condition was not deemed to be life-threatening.
On Saturday morning Kent Police said its marine unit and HM Coastguard were continuing their search of the water and river bank for the girl, who remains missing.
HM Coastguard said it had responded to a report of two children in difficulty in the water on Friday.
Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, HM Coastguard and the RNLI all attended the incident.
The ages of the children have not been revealed.
