Devon and Cornwall Police said road closures were in place while the incident was ongoing

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were called to Victoria Road, Plymouth, following a report of a motorbike in collision with a wall at about 09:00 BST.

Police said Highways assisted with the road closure on Victoria Road to allow officers to conduct a thorough investigation.

"Emergency services attended the scene and the male rider was taken to Derriford Hospital where his injuries have been deemed as life changing," police said.
