A road will be closed overnight for two weeks while it undergoes £230,000 of repair work.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is resurfacing the road on the Woodside bridge roundabout and the overbridge on the A63 Melton interchange.

Work, which started on Monday, will take place between 20:00 BST and 05:00 and is expected to take two weeks.

Councillor Paul West, cabinet member for environment and transport, said the work had been scheduled overnight "to cause the least interference".

From 16 until 21 June the eastbound slip roads of the A63, the overbridges, the northern roundabout and South Lawn Way, will all be closed overnight.

The A63 westbound will be inaccessible via the slip road from Monks Way East but can be accessed from the roundabout.

Residents can access Melton Village via the Welton junction at Brough when the roads are closed and Melton industrial estate can be accessed from the A63 westbound.

Signed diversions will be in place and the roads will reopen during the daytime.
