Teen charged as sixth suspect in murder case

A sixth person has been charged with the murder of a 34-year-old man.

Ryan Burton died in hospital on 16 January six days after he is believed to have been seriously assaulted in Spring Rise Park in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

Following new evidence, a 16-year-old boy was rearrested on Wednesday and charged with the murder.

The teenager had already been held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Five other men have already pleaded not guilty to murder and a separate charge of robbery relating to the same incident.

They are Cameron Williams-Ferguson, 24, from Kettering; Connor White, 25, of Rothwell; Kyle Derek McSkimming, 23, of Corby; Keiton Underwood, 20, from Desborough; and Ace Hill, 18, from Corby.

The suspects remain in custody and a trial is expected to begin on 22 September.
