Road closures as gyratory works enter last phase

Work in Shrewsbury Town Centre is set to be finished by mid-August, according to Shropshire Council.
Work on the town's gyratory, near the station, began in June 2024.
The authority said the final stages of work would be road resurfacing, which would see full road closures overnight from 20:00 to 06:00 BST from Monday 7 July.
It added no weekend working was planned, and access for residents and businesses would be controlled on site.
The authority said that equipment being used would be noisy, and more intrusive works would be carried out earlier in the evenings.
"Daytime working has been considered, however given the location and volumes of traffic experienced during the day it would cause greater disruption and be likely to take far longer to complete," it said.
A signed diversion route would be in place for each closure, it added.
Bus services will not be affected, and taxis will be able to pick up and drop-off at the station.
Additional time up to 15 August has been allowed, should more time be needed to add road markings.
