Man hurt in M62 motorbike crash dies in hospital

A motorcyclist who was seriously hurt in a crash on the M62 near Huddersfield last week has died.
The 51-year-old man was injured in an eight-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon, and died in hospital over the weekend, West Yorkshire Police said.
A 53-year-old man arrested on Friday on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving is currently on bail.
Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses to the crash or events leading up to it.
The collision happened at around at around 17:40 BST on Thursday on the eastbound carriageway, just before the J23 exit slip road.
"Given this collision happened on the motorway network, there is potential for witnesses to not be local to the West Yorkshire area and members of the public can assist by sharing this appeal on social media," the force said.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, including anyone with dashcam footage, should check to see if any footage was captured before, during or after.
The force said the victim's family are aware and being offered specialist support.
