The Army attended after an unexploded World War Two bomb was found in a village near Barnsley.

South Yorkshire Police was called at about 13:00 BST on Tuesday after a member of the public found the ammunition shell in Cudworth.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended shortly after and an explosion was carried out in a safe location.

The force said earlier: "If you hear an explosion in the Cudworth area please do not be alarmed."
