Former school teacher charged with sex offences

A former teacher has been charged with sex offences involving teenage girls.

It follows inquiries into alleged child sexual abuse at St Anne's Catholic School and Sixth Form College in Southampton.

Leo Norman, 45, from the city, faces four counts of abuse of position of trust: sexual activity with a girl, and one count of abuse of position of trust: causing or inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.

He is due before Portsmouth magistrates on Monday 7 July.

Hampshire Constabulary said the offences were alleged to have taken place between 2014 and 2019 against three girls.
