Two colleges locked down over reports of intruder

Two colleges went into lockdown over reports of an intruder on the grounds.
Nottingham University Samworth Academy and Bilborough College in Nottingham initiated a "brief lockdown" on Tuesday, a statement said.
Pictures seen by the BBC on social media showed about four police cars in attendance, but Nottinghamshire Police has not confirmed that any arrests have been made.
A parent said his son's Year 13 class hid under tables for about 30 minutes as officers attended Bilborough College.
The father, who asked not to be identified, said he spoke to his son on his phone as he hid under a table before the lockdown was lifted.
Bilborough College said the precautionary lockdown lasted 40 minutes and added: "Police arrived rapidly on the scene and, after a thorough search of the building, gave us the all-clear.
"We must commend students on the way that they went into lockdown processes which are familiar to them thanks to regular and recent drills."
Nottingham University Samworth Academy confirmed an intruder was seen on the grounds of both campus sites.
"As a precautionary measure, the college and academy initiated a brief lockdown procedure to ensure the safety of all students and staff," its statement said.
"We are pleased to report that no students or staff were in any danger during this incident."
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the force was called to reports of an "unauthorised person" on the grounds and the incident has now been stood down.
