Alderney's ambulance station is being opened to the public to show people how the current service works and to mark its second anniversary.

The event, on Tuesday 1 April, would see the station at Crabby open between 12:00 BST and 14:00, and again between 16:30 and 18:30, service bosses said.

They added: "Members of the ambulance and rescue team in Alderney and representatives from the service in Guernsey will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate some of the ambulance equipment.

"It is also an opportunity for us to say thank you to the people of Alderney for their support over the past two years."
