Birmingham Airport £10m infrastructure investment

Birmingham Airport is spending more than £10m expanding its arrivals area due to increasing passenger numbers.
The airport is installing an additional baggage carousel, costing £4.2m, which will be completed before the summer peak period.
A second project will include the addition of three UK Border Force control desks and a larger immigration hall to process arriving passengers into the airport.
The changes to the immigration and baggage hall will permit an increase of the number of flights arriving into the airport to eight - costing £6.4m.
In October, the airport announced it had applied for permission to increase the number of night flights as it aimed to handle 18 million passengers a year by 2033, which was approved in January.
Al Titterington, terminal operations director, said the airport had forecasted 13.8 million passengers passing through this year.
Money for the projects are part of the airport's £100m capital spend until 2033.
Mr Titterington said: "We want to ensure we provide the best possible customer service.
"By investing in these areas, we can adequately cater for the increase in customers and ensure we are on our way to hit our 13.8 million target this year."
