Firefighters have tackled a wildfire on the moors above a beauty spot in the Pennines.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said the blaze started at 19:30 BST on Sunday above Dove Stone Reservoir in Oldham.
A large plume of smoke could be seen for miles as a result of the fire.
GMFRS said the fire grew to nearly 500ft (150m) wide and more than 300ft (100m) high before it was extinguished. Crews were able to leave the scene after five hours.
