Two arrested over man's fatal stabbing in flat

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was stabbed to death inside a flat.

The victim, in his 30s, was found injured inside the property on Sherlock Avenue in Haydock, Merseyside, on Friday evening.

Merseyside Police officers and North West Ambulance Service paramedics attended the scene but he died later from his injuries.

A 39-year-old woman from Billinge, St Helens, remains in police custody after her arrest on Friday, while a 40-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on Saturday.
