A 10-year-old boy has died following a collision with a delivery van.

Wiltshire Police was called to the incident on Oak Close, Tidworth, at about 19:05 BST on Wednesday.

The child died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

A pile of flowers and cards have been growing close to the scene.

One read: "Sleep tight little man. Forever 10, you are so loved," while another said: "Can't imagine the pain you are all going through."

Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have footage is being urged to contact police.

"His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time. They are being supported by specially-trained officers," police added.
