Multiple roads in Gloucester city centre have been closed by police

Four people have been taken to hospital and several roads closed after an alleged stabbing at a property in Gloucester.

Gloucestershire Police said it was called to reports three people had been stabbed at a property in Bedford Street at about 07:40 BST.

One person suffered "life-threatening" injuries, according to police, while two others had non-life-threatening wounds. All three were taken to hospital for treatment.

A fourth person, who was arrested in connection with the incident, is also being treated in hospital for injuries.

"We believe the incident was contained within the address and we don't believe there to be any ongoing threat to the wider public," a spokesperson for police said.

A cordon is in place at the scene and multiple roads are closed, including in Bedford Street, St Kilda Parade, Nettleton Road, Prince Street and Station Road.
