Polls open in Doncaster mayor and council elections

Polling stations in Doncaster have opened, with voters set to elect a new mayor and council.
All 55 seats on the council are up for grabs as well as the post of directly elected Mayor of Doncaster.
Polling stations will be open between 07:00 and 22:00 BST.
Counting in the mayoral election is expected to start once the polls close, with counting in the council election due to start at 11:00 on Friday.
There are 12 candidates vying for the role of Mayor of Doncaster, which has been held by Labour since 2013.
Ahead of today's vote the council was made up of 42 Labour councillors, 11 Conservatives, two Mexborough First councillors and one Edlington and Warmsworth First representative.
The BBC will provide results from both elections and they will also be published on the City of Doncaster Council website.
Do I need my polling card to vote and can I vote in any polling station?
If you are registered to vote you will have been sent a polling card with your polling number and polling station details.
You do not need to take the polling card with you but it might speed up the process.
You do have to take valid photo ID.
You can only vote at your local polling station, which might not be the same as in previous elections.
You can also find your local polling station online.
You can vote after 22:00 as long as you were already in the queue at that point.
