More crossings to France added to ferry schedule

Additional ferry crossings from Jersey to France are being introduced for freight and day-trippers.
DFDS, which was chosen by Jersey's government in December to run the island's ferry services, said it had made amendments to its schedule for crossings to and from St Malo.
It said the changes, which allowed for more freight capacity and day trips for islanders, were made following discussions with tourism firms and customers.
The company said some bookings might be amended because of the changes and anyone who wanted to discuss their options should contact its customer care team.
DFDS said there were now 59 dates between April and September for people to take a day trip to St Malo, with at least four hours' visiting time before the return trip.
The first sailings from DFDS in Jersey are set to commence on Friday.
