Man charged with attempted kidnap of teenage girl

A teenage girl was allegedly grabbed on Fleming Way in Swindon

A man has been charged after a teenage girl was allegedly chased and grabbed in the street.

Abdulmawal Ibrahim Adam, 27, of Stanier Street, Swindon, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court charged with attempted kidnap.

Wiltshire Police received reports that a teenage girl had been grabbed as she was walking home along Fleming Way in the town on 6 March.

Mr Adam has been remanded in custody and will appear at Swindon Crown Court on 25 April.
