Fatal motorcycle crash sparks police investigation

An investigation into the death of a motorcyclist is under way.

The incident took place on the A41 in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, at about 20:30 BST on Sunday.

Police said the man in his 40s was travelling towards Elstree Hill when, "for reasons currently unknown", he "separated from his bike" and suffered fatal injuries.

"I am particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen the motorcycle prior to the incident," said Det Con Felicity Walker.
