Reform win first Norfolk County Council seats

Reform UK has gained its first seats on Norfolk County Council, including one which was previously held by a Labour MP.
The Thetford West Division became vacant when South West Norfolk MP Terry Jermy stood down from his council roles in March.
Julian Kirk, who resigned his Marshland North seat when he defected from the Conservatives to Reform, won it back with his new party.
This year's full county council election in Norfolk was postponed, ahead of a major reorganisation of local government.
In 2021 Jermy received almost 57% of the vote in Thetford West, but David Bick comfortably took it for Reform, beating the second-placed Labour candidate by 273 votes.
Another county council by-election took place in Norwich, where the Greens held Mancroft division.
Votes were also held for three seats on Norwich City Council, with Labour holding the Bowthorpe ward by the narrowest of margins – finishing ahead of Reform by just one vote.
The Greens retained the Sewell and Mancroft wards.
Reform were successful in a Breckland District Council by-election, winning in Thetford Priory – another seat which had been held by Labour's Jermy.
And in North Norfolk the Liberal Democrats gained from the Conservatives in the Holt ward.
