Police dog finds suspects in 'swamp' after crash

Two men believed to have fled the scene of a crash were found hiding in water after a police dog tracked them down.

Bedfordshire Police praised good boy Hector for finding the men after the incident in the early hours of Sunday near Wootton, close to Bedford.

The force said: "Hector was able to get a scent from the car and led our officers to a swamp of knee-high water, where the two men were hiding out."

The men were detained, the force added, and officers praised the dog's action on social media.
