Seven arrested after man dies in Exmouth garden

A further four suspects have been arrested after the death of a man in Exmouth on Saturday.

Officers were called at about 00:45 BST after they received reports a 24-year-old man had been assaulted and found in a garden of a property at Ashfield Close, Exmouth.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and three men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of murder on the same day.

A fourth man has since been arrested for the same offence, and two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All seven suspects remained in custody.

Det Insp Guy Biggar from the Major Crime Investigation Team thanked "the local community for their support and patience with this investigation" and said officers would remain in the area as enquiries continued.
