Former doctor charged with child sex offences

A former doctor has been charged with multiple sexual offences.
Matthew Isles, from Cheadle in Staffordshire Moorlands, worked as an ear, nose and throat consultant at Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital, Stafford.
The 53-year-old has been accused of attempted sexual communication with a child, attempted to incite a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity, voyeurism and possession of a paedophile manual.
He is set to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 4 June.
Mr Isles has also been charged with three counts of distributing indecent photographs of a child, three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, two counts of possession of an extreme pornographic image and possession of a prohibited image of a child.
A spokesperson for University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust has confirmed he is no longer employed by the Trust.
