A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a truck near a village.

Essex Police and paramedics were called to Northend Road, in Gestingthorpe near Halstead, shortly before 12:00 GMT on Friday.

The rider of a motorcycle, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

Officers closed the road while emergency services attended, but it later reopened.
