An 81-year-old cyclist has died nearly two weeks after a crash in Bridlington, police have confirmed.

Ivan Armitage was involved in a crash with a Chevrolet Captiva SUV on the A165 Scarborough Road at the junction of Grindale Lane on 2 June.

Humberside Police said he was being treated in hospital for serious injuries but died on Saturday.

Mr Armitage's family are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy, the force added.
