Attempted murder charge after serious assault

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man suffered life-changing injuries in an attack in Dewsbury.
Police said the 22-year-old victim, who had been attacked by several men, was found with serious head and leg injuries in Raven's Crescent just before 16:00 BST on 15 May.
Fahim Iqbal, of Coal Pit Mews, Batley, appeared before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody to appear at the city's crown court on 17 June.
West Yorkshire Police said "a number of active enquiries" remained ongoing by detectives and have continued to appeal for anyone with information.
The force said as part of the investigation, officers, supported by armed police, had executed warrants at three addresses in the Dewsbury area in the early hours.
