Road closed as crews tackle house fire

A road in North Wingfield has been closed while emergency services respond to a house fire.

Firefighters were called to a property on Williamthorpe Road at 08:32 BST on Tuesday.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said a dog had been rescued from the property and that all occupants had been accounted for.

Derbyshire Police was also called to the scene and said a large section of the road was closed.

Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes.
