Passenger fighting for life after police chase crash

A passenger has been left with life-threatening injuries after a police chase ended in a crash with multiple vehicles.
The pursuit which led to the crash began when officers approached a suspicious vehicle on Drake Street in Rochdale at 18:15 BST on Thursday.
The vehicle drove away before crashing and causing serious injuries to its passenger, before the suspected driver then fled the scene.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the road had been cordoned off while officers investigate.
One other person from another vehicle also received minor injuries after the crash.
The force has asked any witnesses who may have dash cam footage of the crash to get in touch.
