Youth theatre leader 'thrilled' to be at Baftas

A Wolverhampton youth theatre leader says he is "beyond thrilled" to attend the forthcoming Bafta TV awards after the comedy series he appeared in was nominated.
Zak Douglas, a director at the city's Central Youth Theatre, has starred in Channel 5's The Good Ship Murder, ITV's comedy GWED and also appeared in Sky's Lockerbie with Colin Firth.
GWED is nominated for best scripted comedy at the ceremony next month.
"Being a part of such a phenomenal project and team is an incredible honour - truly a dream come true," he said.
Douglas, from Fordhouses in Wolverhampton, has been a member of the theatre, which was founded in Whitmore Reans in the mid-1980s, for several years.
He enjoyed helping to nurture and develop young talent, the organisation said.

Based at the Newhampton Arts Centre, the theatre takes in youngsters aged between four and 25.
Actress and singer and former attendee Beverley Knight thanked the organisation for "giving her a chance" as an 11-year-old when she won an Olivier Award in 2023.
Mr Douglas said he was "deeply proud" of his work there.
"For me, it's all about inspiring and uplifting the next generation, providing young people with a safe space to build confidence, express themselves, and find their voice.
"I hope this serves as a reminder that there's a place for all of us," he added.
Baby Reindeer and Mr Bates vs The Post Office are the top contenders at the awards, which will be held on 11 May.
