Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in Cottingham

The death of a man is no longer being treated as suspicious, Humberside Police said.

A murder inquiry was launched after the 52-year-old's body was discovered at a property in Ormesby Walk, Cottingham on 26 December.

Following a post mortem examination, the death "is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner," the force said.

Two men aged 30 and 50 who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released with no further action to be taken.

Det Ch Insp Amy Keane-Christie said the man's death "remains unexplained".

"Since the incident was reported to us on Friday 27 December last year, officers have been conducting a number of lines of inquiry to establish how the man came to sustain fatal injuries inside his address," she said.
