Police were called to reports of a fight at a disused bus stop near Parkhouse Court

A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court accused of murder after a man was stabbed to death.

The alleged victim, aged in his 20s, died at the scene near Parkhouse Court in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, at about 13:10 GMT on 23 March.

Police said the defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at St Albans Crown Court.

No pleas were entered and he was remanded in custody before another hearing on 13 June.

He is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident, and a 17-year-old boy was also held on suspicion of murder.

The pair were released on bail.
