A man has died in a car crash near a Warwickshire beauty spot.

Crews were called to a collision involving two cars near Draycote Water reservoir at 20:59 BST on Thursday, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

A man, the driver of one of the cars, was found in a critical condition and died at the scene, it added.

The driver of the other car, a woman, was treated for injuries that were not thought to be serious and taken to hospital.

Warwickshire Police has appealed for anyone with footage or any information to contact officers.
