Woman seriously hurt after being struck by car

A woman in her 70s suffered serious injures after she was hit by a car in Stourbridge.

Officers said she was struck by the vehicle on Hagley Road, near the service station by the junction with Glasshouse Hill, Oldswinford, at about 16:00 BST on Thursday.

The woman remained in hospital with serious injuries, West Midlands Police said.

The driver of the car, a red Vauxhall Corsa, remained at the scene and was assisting officers with their inquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or has any information to get in contact.
