Teen suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a wall.

The collision, which involved no other vehicles, took place on Pogmoor Road in Barnsley at about 05:30 BST on Friday, South Yorkshire Police said.

A force spokesperson said the motorcycle left the road before hitting a wall.

The teenager's family are being supported by specialist officers. Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident has been asked to contact police.
