Jewels 'worth £1m' waiting be reunited with owners

A cache of jewels and other valuables stolen in Hounslow between 2023 and 2024 has been recovered and police are now appealing for the owners.
The stolen items are believed to be worth more than £1m in total and include a World War One officer's Rolex watch, a gold locket containing pictures, an engraved pocket watch, gemstone-encrusted gold necklaces and a gold hair pin.
The Met Police asked anyone who recognised the jewellery to contact them.
Officers said the jewellery was largely taken from London's south Asian community in Hounslow between 2023 and 2024.
