Major A391 roadworks under way in St Austell

Major resurfacing work in Cornwall is expected to cause disruption to motorists for the rest of May.
Cornwall Council said the A391 in St Austell was shut until 30 May for essential road safety works.
It said diversion routes would be in place, and Bethel, Boscoppa and Carclaze roundabouts could be accessed between 07:00 and 19:00 BST until 14 May.
Bryan Skinner, head of transport and environment, said the work needed to be carried out on the North East Distributor road due to its "deteriorating condition".
'Least disruptive as possible'
"Given the importance of the A391, we know the project will disrupt local traffic and we have developed diversion plans prioritising safety and efficiency while ensuring they are the least disruptive as possible," Mr Skinner said.
"This is to ensure we finish this important project efficiently and we will be working extended hours to complete the work as soon as possible."
During the works the council said there would be parking restrictions on Treverbyn Road, Slades Road, Tregonissey Road and Truro Road from Tuesday onwards.
Kiera Morgan, who works at Barking Buddha on Tregonissey Road, said the salon was not sure where its clients would park during the closure.
'Parking struggles'
She said: "Residents that live around here... they'll probably go on any estate that is free to park and that will make it a struggle for our clients to park as well."
The council said bus companies and emergency services had been informed of disruption.
It said the work was part of Live Labs 2, a highway maintenance and improvement initiative, which was partly funded by the Department for Transport.
It added it secured funding, under the scheme, to test new materials and methods for reducing carbon emissions in highway maintenance work.
