Road closed as crews tackle 'serious' flat fire

A road closure remains in place as multiple crews tackle a "serious" flat fire in Nottinghamshire.

Emergency Services were called out to the blaze in Park Avenue, in Mansfield at 02:42 BST on Monday and closed access to the road shortly after.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Ashfield, Mansfield and Edwinstowe attended the scene.

The fire service said a joint investigation into the cause of the incident is now underway with Nottinghamshire Police.
