A 29-year-old biker has died after a crash on the A87 at Loch Cluanie in the Highlands.

Police Scotland said his Yamaha motorbike was involved in a collision at about 11:25 on Friday.

The man, who has not been named, was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but later died from his injuries.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

Sgt Douglas Scott said the force's thoughts were with the family and friends of the man who died.

He added: "I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash and who hasn't already spoken to officers to get in touch.

"I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us."
