Murder arrest after man fatally hit by car

A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal collision between a pedestrian and a car.
Essex Police said a man in his 20s, from London, died after he was injured near a cycle path off Momples Road, in Harlow, at about 17:30 GMT on Saturday.
The force said a car connected to the incident was found abandoned and on fire at a nearby underpass. Police arrested a man, and he remains in custody for questioning.
Det Insp James Holmes said: "Our inquiries are ongoing and you'll continue to see officers throughout the area today."
Officers have also been investigating the possibility the incident was linked to the theft of a black Ford Fiesta in nearby Pennymead, reported earlier that day at around 16:00.
The Fiesta was later found abandoned in the Churchfield area of the town and has also been seized.
Mr Holmes said: "This was a shocking incident and I know people are worried, people are concerned.
"I would like to offer that assurance that we're taking this very seriously, we've got a dedicated team working on this investigation, supported by local officers on the ground in Harlow."
