Brad Kella's 'full circle moment' at event launch

Merseyside musician Brad Kella has said playing a piano named after him in the place he used to play when he was homeless was "a full circle moment for me".

Kella, 24, won the second series of Channel 4 show, The Piano after producers of the show saw an online video of him playing one of the Tickle the Ivories Festival pianos at Liverpool One.

The self-taught musician was invited to the launch of the 15th annual festival, which sees five pianos - designed in collaboration with artists including Kella - located across the shopping centre over nine weeks and people invited to play them.

At the launch, Kella, 24, who grew up in Bootle, said: "I used to play here when I was homeless so the fact I can come back and play here today in front of so many people is amazing."
