French bulldog put down after being abandoned

A French bulldog found with a bleeding prolapse in a park was in such a "terrible state" it had to be put down.
The female dog was spotted by a member of the public in Rough Wood Country Park, Willenhall, on Tuesday at 13:20 GMT, the RSPCA said.
The charity is investigating how the animal, found with a prolapse hanging from her body, came to be in such a neglected state.
Animal rescue officer George Mackie said the charity suspected the dog had been used for breeding before being abandoned and it was "heartbreaking" to see an animal in such a bad condition.
The charity said it was keen to find out where the dog came from, especially because although she was microchipped, she had not been registered.
Mr Mackie said the animal also had a skin condition and her nails were overgrown.
"We know that she'd have been unable to walk to where she was dumped herself so someone must have left her there," he explained.
"We're really keen to hear from anyone who recognises her or who knows where she's been."
