Boy, 13, seriously injured in e-scooter crash

A 13-year-old boy has been seriously injured after a crash involving an e-scooter in Buncrana, County Donegal.

Gardaí (Irish police) said the boy was found unresponsive after an apparent fall from the e-scooter in the Linsfort area at about 16:45 on Monday.

He was treated at the scene before being transported by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital where the police say his condition is understood to be serious.

The road remains closed on Tuesday and Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
