Three people rescued from first floor bedroom fire

Three people have been rescued after fire broke out in a house in the early hours.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said five appliances were called to the property in Fletcher Road, Ipswich at about 00:02 BST on Wednesday and spent the night tackling a fire in a first floor bedroom.

The fire service said crews finished hot spotting the fire to prevent it from spreading further at about 07:17.

Three adults were rescued in "enough time" and no casualties were reported, it said.
