Man denies dangerous driving charge over car death

Hizar Hanif was in a stationary car when it was hit on Soho Road, Birmingham, police said

A man has denied causing death by dangerous driving after a man in a stationary car was killed in a crash.

Hizar Hanif, 31, was sitting in the vehicle when it was hit by an Audi on Soho Road in Handsworth, Birmingham, on 18 February 2024.

A woman was seriously hurt in the crash.

Mohammed Ali, 26, from Robert Road in the city, pleaded not guilty at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday and is due to go on trial on 2 February 2026.
