Bomb squad called after grenade found in village

Part of a village was cordoned off by police for several hours after the discovery of a grenade, police said.
Officers were called to Lakenheath, Suffolk, near Thetford, Norfolk, at about 12:35 BST and notified the bomb squad, a police spokesperson said.
Pine Close, Whitewood Walk and Cherry Close were closed and residents advised to leave their homes.
The Army's explosive ordnance disposal team has confirmed the grenade was not live and the cordon will be lifted shortly, said Suffolk Police.
