A woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital after a car crashed through the front of a pharmacy building in Inverness.

The car came to a stop inside the shop in Lochardil.

The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) said it was called to the shop at about 14:17.

In a social media post, Lochardil Pharmacy said: "I'm afraid we have had to close for the remainder of the day. We shall update you as soon as possible."

SAS said: "We received a call at 14:17 today to attend an incident on Movern Road in Inverness.

"We dispatched a number of resources to the scene, our first arriving within five minutes, and transported one female patient in her 60s to Raigmore Hospital."

The police tape is close to the camera and can be seen stretching down a road to the car park.
Police tape has been put up around the pharmacy and a nearby car park
