Tandridge District Council has awarded £20,000 in health and wellness grants

A Surrey council's charity lottery has provided £20,000 in grants to improve residents' health and wellbeing.

The Tandridge Together Fund has given 17 community groups up to £2,000 each in it's 2025 round of awards.

Recipients included charities which donate shoes to low income families, elderly support groups and workshops for disabled children and adults.

Councillor Deb Shiner said the initiative wanted to "make a real difference to residents' lives".

The fund receives 10p of every £1 ticket sold for the Tandridge Together Lottery.

An additional 50p of the ticket goes towards the player's chosen cause of Tandridge charities and community groups.

The lottery, which launched in 2018, offers top prizes of £25,000.

Charities among the 2025 recipients include Bloomin' Arts in Lingfield, Sal's Shoes and the Prospero Theatre in Caterham.
